IncubatorWorks has been helping entrepreneurs of Western New York for 33 years. It certainly is doing great work and helping the startup community in a big way – but it needed help spreading that message on its social media channels and presenting a polished face to potential entrepreneurs and investors.
Through social media storytelling, video profiles, event branding, and website redesign, we have helped IncubatorWorks grow its Facebook engagement rate by 525% and Twitter impressions by 480% in one year.
Here at IncubatorWorks, we were struggling to tell our story, much less use social media effectively. Carol and her team quickly “got us”—and then told the world our story about how we are creating a welcoming community for all entrepreneurs here in our region of Western New York. The key to any great organization is it’s people. We set about helping IncubatorWorks tell the story of the great people who make their organization work so well with custom video profiles of both staff and entrepreneurs. IncubatorWorks’ website offered good content but didn’t feel modern and was overly complicated. We started by simplifying the main navigation and streamlining the amount of content. Then we designed the site to be more modern in both look / feel and in functionality.
In order to connect with and educate start-ups and entrepreneurs in the Southern Tier of New York State, IncubatorWorks has many events that they sponsor or co-host throughout the year.
We helped them brand 2 recent events: Their Entrepreneurial Summit and the upcoming Startup Allegany Collegiate Competition – which was a competition to find new ideas for sustainability-minded start-ups and products.
